To Whom It May Concern:
As president of Lee University, I rarely have an opportunity to become personally acquainted with students at the level required to write a recommendation letter. Harrison is an exception to this pattern; the opportunity for us to interact has arisen several times during his college career as he is the editor of our campus newspaper.
I have found him to be a very fine young man of maturity beyond his years. He is eager to perform his duties as related to his position with our student newspaper, and he does so with exceptional success.
I am also aware of Harrison’s outstanding record of goodwill in many areas of the university. He is exemplary in his tangible efforts to serve others.
In addition to being very bright and intellectually mature, he is highly motivated to work hard. He will bring with him an unusually high level of personal motivation, persistence, and commitment to do whatever it takes to be effective in whatever surroundings he finds himself. He is particularly goal-oriented, and takes initiative in reaching the goals he sets for himself. He is not just an intelligent student in the ways that are measured by tests; he is also "savvy" in the less obvious ways that, while not easy to capture in an application, so often make the difference between successful and unsuccessful graduate students.
We at Lee are proud of Harrison. I recommend him to your consideration without reservation.
Cordially,
Dr. Charles Paul Conn
President
